A. We take Privacy very seriously. It is a legal requirement as well. Cuckoo Hostels is always committed to protect your privacy when you visit our website. These policies only apply to our website and not to other companies, individuals or organizations who display our link. Q. Disclosure of Information ?

A. Cuckoo Hostel will not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We collect and use your information to comply with the law or for sending you information at your request. The information is collected for the safety of our guests, staffs and for records for legal compliance. Additional data may be collected for intelligence and/or statistical purposes. We may use IP addresses to compile and provide statistics about our visitors and traffic patterns as well as to administer the site and gather broad demographic information. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. Cuckoo Hostels may release account information when such release is reasonably necessary to comply with the law; enforce the terms of any of our user agreements; or protect the rights, property, and safety of Cuckoo Hostels, the users of its site, or others. Email address is required to send confirmation emails for reservations and in case we need to establish communication for important matters relating to lost and found items or any important/urgent matters. Q. Reservation Data ?

A. In order for us to confirm a reservation for you, we do require some information. This will usually consist of your full name, an emergency telephone or mobile number, gender, nationality, date of birth, identification data i.e. Passport, Driving License details, Credit card details, including the three-digit code that appears on the back of your credit card, date of arrival and departure, and E-mail address. If you have made bookings for your friends, we will need similar information from them as well. Kindly inform the same.

Q. Website Security ?

A. We have ensured that we keep our website secured, we have put various security measures in place to block unauthorized traffic and for misuse of our website. However, we also understand that internet is not the most secure medium.

Q. Credit Card Data ?

A. In order to guarantee reservations via all channels (telephone, website or smartphone application, but not restricted to), we require a full 16 digit debit/credit card number, name on the card, card type (we accept VISA, Master card or Maestro), three digit security code and the expiry date. Your debit/credit card details are only used to secure your booking and Cuckoo Hostels will only debit the account if you do not follow our cancellation procedure. Reservations that are cancelled at least 24 hours prior to arrival are not charged for, whereas no shows or failing to cancel in excess of 24 hours will incur a charge for the first night. Cuckoo Hostels indemnifies itself against all data use on and reservations made via third party websites/agents. Please refer to their relevant privacy policy and terms and conditions.

Q. Do we use Cookies?

A.It helps us improve user experience. Technology like cookies could be used to help you deliver content as per your preference, to help you process your reservations or other requests. While this cannot be used to disclose your identity, this information will identify your browser to our servers when you visit our site. To remove the cookies at any point from your computer, you can delete them using your browser.

Q.Refund Policy?

A. The advance taken at the time of reservation is always non-refundable. Pre-payment of the balance amount is necessary at the time of check-in. We have a 3 day cancellation policy (i.e. 72 hours from the standard check-in time 12 noon). Your Pre-Payment of balance is eligible for a refund only if we are informed 72 hours in advance. Failure to inform us within this time will result in cancellation charges. 100% advance is to be deposited as a booking advance. If booking is cancelled before 7 days of Check-In, 85% of this deposit would be returned. No refunds would be processed otherwise. Any modification request will not be entertained if not intimated 7 days prior to the arrival. All merchandise purchased come with a 15 days return policy, where the return postal charges are to be paid by the customer.
